Art is political. Art is personal.
My explorations in art are expansive and multimedia. I engage in a multitude of mediums and consider art more a practice than a form. Current topics I’m studying are mental health, identity, progressive sociopolitical, critical analyses of modern internet culture, and ethical technology.
As a lesbian Chinese-American first generation daughter, my art is colored and shaped by my experiences with perception, stereotypes, and isms. My history as a designer in the tech industry for 8 years also influences my art and my journey in seeing art as a full time practice, not just a hobby that is lesser than my income-generating career. I consider myself a professional graphic designer and an aspiring artist still figuring out my unique point of view as an artist creating soulful work no longer bound to clients.
Currently very into traditional print methods (particularly Riso), zine making, jewelry making, and digital illustration.
